The Village Gatlinburg

     If you're looking for a charming and picturesque destination to visit in Tennessee, look no further than The Village in Gatlinburg, TN. This quaint shopping village offers a unique and charming experience that is perfect for a day trip or a weekend getaway. The Village is located in the heart of Gatlinburg, TN; just a short walk from the popular Great Smoky Mountains National Park. As you walk through the cobblestone streets of The Village, you'll be transported back in time to a simpler era. Imagine 1830 vibes with the sound of the horse hooves clopping on the cobblestone streets.  The village features 27 unique boutiques and specialty shops, all housed in charming, old-world architecture that has been beautifully restored.

    One of the best times to visit The Village is during the holiday season. From late November through early January, the village is transformed into a winter wonderland, with festive lights and decorations, and carolers. Every bit of your senses indulged with every sound of the bustling movement from other strangers enjoying the same surroundings. Every corner is a completely new experience from trying new restaurants, walking down the busy streets, meeting new people, or hearing live music.

At the time of my arrival, the paved concrete streets were packed full of people walking down the street. Driving down the small, enclosed road that travels through Gatlinburg, I was able to find paid parking ($20) right next to the street. For travel, I would keep in mind pedestrians, the road being very tiny, parking fees, and the higher-priced parking is right next to the street. Streets are lined full of various shops, restaurants, and many different things to do so there are ALOT of options. One instance was eating at a restaurant next to a live band as the orange glow of the sun was setting behind the trees, and another was walking up the stairs attached to the side of the building in order to walk down the concrete walkway above the stores below. The Village in Gatlinburg, TN is one of those instances where it's best left to the reader to experience due to so many options for different experiences.
